CRANBERRY CAKE
2 cups flour 1¼ cup sugar 1 cup milk 2 tablespoon shortening 2 teaspoon baking powder 1 teaspoon vanilla ½ teaspoon salt 1 egg 2 cups (8 oz. by weight) CAPE BLANCO CRANBERRIESGOLDEN SAUCE ½ cup sugar ½ cup half and half ½ cup margarine or butter ½ teaspoon vanilla
Heat oven to 350°. Mix flour, sugar, milk, shortening, baking powder, vanilla, salt, and egg; beat 30 seconds. Stir in CAPE BLANCO CRANBERRIES. Pour into greased and floured square 9x9-inch pan. Bake until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean, about 40 to 45 minutes. Serve warm with Golden Sauce.
GOLDEN SAUCE: Heat ingredients in small saucepan, stirring constantly, until margarine or butter is melted.
